Little Mast style edition.....

Until your baby can dress itself, define it's own style or buy it's own clothes they are at the mercy of your styling. Most the time it goes four ways.

1. total baby overload with the "mommy loves me, grandmas rock star and daddy's princess" onesies, shirts, feeding and sleeping gear. I'm not a fan of all this. Maybe it's just me and maybe I've just seen it far to often on every baby you come across. That's great if you love it! I know that Josh and I both personally agree it's not us and we will most likely not  putting it on the baby.  We have a hard enough time with some of the pieces with huge decals on them.

2. Simplistic. The child wears blue if it's a boy or pink if it's a girl onesies or jumpers but also wears alot of unisex colors and nothing to frilly. This is a clean look, kinda modern even but it does border slightly on no personality or certain style showing through.

3. Your a trend setter. Your love brands. You love fashion and your child is no different. You wear Jcrew and your baby wears Crew Cuts. You wear Gucci and your baby wears Baby Gucci. It's your mini you. Or if you have a boy it's a mini husband look a like. Fedoras, vests and all your baby is a mirror of Suri Cruise.

4. Your a prepster. You love cardigans and dark jeans with your Tory Burch flats. Perfect polished pony tails and buns are your ideal go to look and Essie Ballet Sippers is your go to nail color for your bi weekly mani/pedi. You love fashion but live for style and classics. Your polished and pulled together but easily comfortable and not at all fussy. Your baby girl wears cardigans and ruffles. Your baby boy wears dark jeans and ironed button downs with a dapper newsboy cap or chinos with a crisp polo shirt. Nautical is your go to staple a few times a week and especially on the weekend.

We are right in the middle of 3 and 4. I know I wont be able to justify the baby Tory Burch Revas when mommy can just get herself a new pair for a few extra dollars and pass them down ;) and while I do adore staples for next to thing (aka old navy and gap) there are certainly going to be a few staples in our child's wardrobe that are fashionable, stylish and reflect a certain vibe and will cost a bit extra. Like I said before, we like the organic materials and a certain feel and look to the clothing. It's just personal taste that we have and it's not for everyone.

Somethings little critter will wear....
This is pretty much a shirt a certain video game making husband would wear
It comes from a great organic company and we live in CA so enough said
This totally makes my Jcrew preppy heart swooon because it's monogrammed
A cabo shirt, cause oh yes our baby will be a beach baby
Hello perfect nautical stripes in the perfect blue color
If Camden can wear a tie then so can our baby
One of the first things we talked about if we had a boy.
It's going to be dressed to the nines
So cute! Pressed jcrew chinos and a vest..yes please!
If it has half of my husbands math mind and half of my business mind then yes our child will be a genius
Remember our rehearsal dinner? It was on a pirate ship. For my husband.
Anything I can find that's "cool not corny or cheap" pirate he is all over.
SWOOOOOOOON!!!!
My husband goes out on a sail boat with his friends.
This is total organic perfect material thickness PERFECTION!!

You child starts getting their own creative minds so quickly and dressing themselves is one of the funnest things they can do! So while they are strapped down in a car seat and forced to be dressed by you it's definitely mommy and daddy's year of dress up :)
