Our OB triage visit last night, a shot in the butt and I think I peed my pants :(

Three things I don't need to hear mention of for a while... OB triage center, shot in the butt or I'm going to throw up. That was my evening last night, what I remember of it. Husband had a grand ole time this morning recounting it all for me  on our way to our ultrasound appointment. The fun started when we went to the triage center to monitor contractions I was having but also I was spotting. I had 3 big contractions in the 30 min I was on the monitors but decided I did not want to stay and walk back and forth and get checked again. Before we left they gave me a shot of morphine mixed with a little anti-nausea medication and sent us home. Before we even made it to the car my face was numb. As I got in the car my arms and hands were heavy. Sat down in the seat and my eyelids had concrete on them. Before we even reached the freeway I was drooling.

I had not eaten anything since 2pm and it was now 830pm which is most likely another reason the meds kicked in as fast as they did so husband stopped and picked up some food on the way home which of course that late was fast food. He half carried/half pushed me into the house and plopped me onto the couch. I woke up about 30 min later and this is where the fun started... from husby's point of view of course since I have no recollection of anything past getting in the car, this is what he told me this morning.

1. When you woke up from your nap you ate. By that I mean you inhaled an entire container of onion rings in less then a minuet. Truly amazing.

2. You fell asleep after eating your last onion ring for a few more minuets then woke back up. "Chicken Sandwich" is all you said. You fell asleep mid bite.

3. Off and on you woke up, fell asleep and ate your sandwich until I took you upstairs to bed. However before we could make it there you felt sick and made a beeline to the bathroom where you lost your entire dinner and then some. You looked down and said, "I either broke my water or peed my pants".

4. You peed your pants when you threw up.

5. You got sick 3 more times in the middle of the night and early morning. One of the times I woke up and got out of bed so fast that I was not fully awake yet and almost got sick myself. I had no idea what was going on.

The details go on and my sense of humor was at it's finest apparently with the little side comments and half mumbled words I was spewing back and forth in my morphine coma. I felt so horrible for husband this morning, I might not remember what happened but I certainly know I owe him big time!

How far along? 36 weeks and 5 days

How big is baby? He is measuring a tad bigger then average which is fine by us since he started off SO MUCH SMALLER! We are thrilled he has caught up in the past few months. As of this morning at 9am, he is weighing over 6 lbs.

Gender? A BOY!! His name is Beckett Easton as a first and middle name.

Weight gain?I've gained 3 pounds.... all water retention. I would show you a picture of my feet but I'll spare you. It's not good.

Due Date?  I'm currently 2cm dilated and 80% effaced! Our induce date is tentatively set for August 26th however it might change since we are waiting for one other doctors approval.

Symptoms? horrendous pelvic and hip pressure and pain. Beyond swollen feet and legs which they are watching closely. I never really have a chance to have a symptom and know about it for very long. I have two non stress tests a week and I see both doctors once a week so I'm pretty well taken care of by all the doctor care and they notice things before I do!

Food cravings? All that sounds good right now is light and airy food. Soft serve ice cream. Salads. Pasta. Chicken and spinach. No actual cravings though.

Sleep? Sleeping through the night still only waking up to pee (only once per night though) and when I roll over it wakes me up from the shifting pressure. I'm sleeping about 10 hours or so.

Movement? Still as fiesty as ever. If anything other then dads hands touch him he kicks and fights and squirms and puts on a big show trying to get it off. He always moves closer to his dads hands though :) it's sweet.

Beckett on the web: Beckett has his own little friends and family blog so you can check it out and leave him some love if you want to! You can see it at this link Little Mast

Other Stuff: The nursery is done! Well with the exception of a bed skirt and a "quilt"  (mainly for decor purposes though) which I just can't seem to find and it's driving me nuts. I know what i want and I see it in my head crystal clear, just can't find them anywhere! This week I'll be sure to take pictures of it and do a nursery reveal, we love the way it turned out and are so excited to show Beckett his room. I can't wait to spend more time in there too, it's so cozy!

Glamour shots: Here are the ultrasound pics we got from our appointment this morning. She zoomed in on two of them so they came out fuzzy and grainy and weird looking :( Those cheeks still.. ahh! Those cheeks are going to be the end of us if they stay that big.
