On Friday I was feeling a lot of pressure so I headed over to my OB's office to get checked. She was no longer in so I saw the nurse practitioner again and this time he checked me. My blood pressure a tiny bit high but nothing like the 149 it was the day before so that was a good sign. My feet and legs however were in very bad shape and to his surprise Becketts head was also very very very VERY low. Hence all the extra pressure he said.
Off to OB triage I went to monitor any contractions and my blood pressure along with Becketts heart rate. After two hours and countless painful contractions the nurse came in and unplugged me from the machines. I got dressed and sent home since I was "not quite" having contractions for long enough. As we walked out the door they said "probably see you in a few hours" which I did not think was very funny at the time :)
Our induce date was actually supposed to be on Friday but with out doctor unexpectedly out of the office then it threw us for a loop. Clearly however Beckett might want to beat them to the punch!
This whole pregnancy I've heard stories and seen friends go back and forth multiple times to the hospital sometimes for days until they are within hours of having a baby. I stated that would not be me and I meant it. So, here it is, Sunday night at 9pm and the pressure is more then ever, my feet and legs are even MORE swollen and I'm not going anywhere near the triage center until either my water breaks or I can no longer walk and I have to be drug/carried/hurled to the car. The next time I go in there it will be to have Beckett and leave with him.
I'm now not on calendar to see my OB till Wednesday but I'm going to call tomorrow morning and see if I can get that moved up or if she just wants us to come in and be induced. I am SO thankful that we passed our "scary" induce date of 32-35 weeks and made it this far thanks to medication but now I'm well over a week past when they wanted to induce at 36.5 weeks to avoid the complications I'm now starting to have. We need to get this ball rolling and the worst thing is to have Beckett do it himself so hopefully we can get the doctors on board and scrubbed up!
